Getting enough protein on a vegan diet is easy when you know what to eat. However, eating what has the most protein gets boring… and it gets boring FAST.

That’s why we’ve created this list of our favorite vegan protein bars to help you hit your daily macronutrients (protein, carb, fat) without losing sight on your reasons for becoming vegan!

But we get it… if you’d rather only eat whole foods, check out our vegan grocery list and pick up your favorite items.

Top 10 Best Vegan Protein Bars

#10

Costco Simply Protein Crisps

5-Dark Chocolate Almond, 5-Lemon Coconut, 5-Peanut Butter Chocolate

Our review:

Absolute YUCK! Worst of the worse. Good amount of protein but I’d rather eat plain tofu than suffer through one of these bars again. Thankfully, Costco has an amazing return policy.

#9

GoMacro

Recognized for clean nutrition and reliable availability; recommended for lower sodium options.

Our review:

Why does anyone buy these bars? Texture was weird, flavor (wasn’t any), and the bar felt small in size for the price.

Where to Buy:

Amazon, Walmart, major grocery stores

#8

No Cow

High in protein and fiber, popular for satisfying macros, though taste is subjective.

Our review:

Flavor lacked, felt like we were eating cardboard. 20g of protein was the only redeeming quality.

Where to Buy:

Amazon, Walmart, major grocery stores

#7

Misfits Cookie Butter

This bar balances the sweeeeet taste and chewy, gooey texture of a candy bar, with the nutrition stats you’d expect from a protein bar. Protein, but make it candy.

Our review:

The texture is amazing but zero flavor. These bars were a disappointment but still tasted better than No Cow.

#6

Lenny & Larry’s Cookie Bar

Soft, cookie dough-like center, layered with sweet caramel and crunchy peanuts, all coated in milk chocolate in our new plant-based protein bar.

Our review:

If you’ve had their “protein” cookie, you’ll know they don’t know how to create something that tastes good. However, these bars are okay and weren’t the worst bars we’ve tried.

Where to Buy:

Amazon, Walmart

#5

ALOHA Peanut Butter Chocolate

These protein bars contain certified vegan chocolate chips, peanuts, roasted pumpkin seeds, and 14g of brown rice and pumpkin seed protein.

Our review:

When you need a quick protein fix, these bars do satisfy. The flavor is decent and we find ourselves scarfing these down when we visit our parents.

Amazon, Walmart, major grocery stores

#4

Clif Builders Chocolate Mint

CLIF Builders plant based protein bars are gluten free, made with non-GMO ingredients, and low glycemic to digest slowly for prolonged levels of energy.

Our review:

Clif gets a lot of hate because of sugar content and if you’re worried about sugar, keep scrolling down this list. But some of us like sweet-tasting protein bars and with 20g, these are great!

Nugo Dark Chocolate Pretzel

Each NuGo Dark bar has 12g plant protein and is certified gluten free, vegan and OU Kosher Pareve. It’s no wonder this is their best-selling NuGo bar.

Our review:

These are the best tasting bars ever! The only reason these are listed at #3 is because they’ve only got 12g of protein.
