My wife and I were gifted the Nama Juicer (Vitality 5800) as a wedding gift in 2021. We are passionate about juicing and have wanted a Nama cold press juicer for over 2 years! We’ve been using the Breville Juice Fountain Plus for over 3 years and knew there was a better juicer out there.

In this post, we’ll cover the top 20 reasons why we love our Namawell juicer and why we think it’s the best juicer for those new to juicing!

Juicing is a great way to jumpstart your health and get your body moving in the right direction.

Over the years, we’ve done juice fasts (drink nothing but fresh fruit/vegetable juice for X number of days to remove toxins), had juice for breakfast/lunch/dinner, and have done a number of other things to promote healthy living.

When we got married, my wife’s parents gifted us the Nama Cold Press Juicer Vitality 5800. As someone who bought a Breville Juice Fountain Plus over 10 years ago and used it daily, I can tell you the Nama Vitality 5800 juicer was a welcomed change of pace.

Nama Vitality 5800 Juicer

We use the heck out of this juicer and have loved every.single.minute of it. Because it was given as a wedding gift, it holds a TON of sentimental value and for that reason, this juicer will be in our family for years.

The New Nama Juicer!

But as with time, things change, and Nama recently released a new juicer called the Nama J2 and that’s what we’ll be covering in this post.

Behold (yeah, again with the “behold”), the mighty NAMA J2 Juicer.

Nama J2 Juicer is the best juicer on the market

Cold-Pressed Juicer vs Centrifugal Juicer

The “which juicer is better?” debate is about to end…

Cold-press means: slow press, longer-lasting juice, more nutrients/vitamins/minerals/yield, less waste, slightly more expensive (initially).

Centrifugal means: high-speed/quick juice, shorter-lasting juice (goes bad fast), more waste, slightly less expensive (initially).

The Breville Juice Fountain Plus juicer is a great example of a centrifugal juicer (high-speed, more waste). I used one for many years and it “got the job done.”

However, I ended up spending more money over time on fruit/vegetables over time because the juicer provided less juice and more waste.

If you’ve ever used a high-speed juicer like a Breville, you’ll understand what I mean when I say, “the pulp was dripping wet after each use.”

Tip: If you don’t care about getting the most from your juice, and enjoy spending more money on fruits/vegetables over time, the Breville is an okay choice. For many people just starting their juicing journey, and who aren’t as invested in their health, a Breville will get the job done. But it won’t do it well.

What centrifugal, or high-speed juicers fail to do is provide a good return on your investment… and that’s where Nama juicers excel. They allow you to use less fruits/vegetables but yield more juice (and the juice stays good much longer, like days longer).

Cold-Press Juicer

The Nama Vitality 5800 and Nama J2 juicers are perfect examples of cold-press juicers. They take in your fruits/vegetables with care, slowly masticate them, and get every last drop of juice from your food.

In the long run, a slow-process, or cold-press juicer is the way to go. It will save you time, money, and you’ll know you’re getting the very most from your efforts.

Nama’s Juicer is Easy to Clean

Cleaning juicers is never fun. There are too many parts and everything is so intricately positioned and structured. However, Nama has really done their homework and provided a juicer that’s extremely easy to clean.

Once you take apart the juicer, simply run each section under hot water and minimally scrub with a soapy brush/sponge. In our daily use, cleaning this juicer takes about 2 minutes to clean; the same time it takes to adequately brush your teeth.

Easy to Use

The Nama J2 juicer couldn’t be easier to use. There’s a simple manual that comes with the juicer and a lot of time & care was put into that to help new users become quickly familiarized with how it works and how to use it.

If you have any questions (about anything, not just about how to use the juicer), feel free to reach out to us on Instagram and we’ll be happy to answer what we can!

Maximum Yield (up to 60% more juice)

You read that right, up to 60% more juice! With other juicers, you might be getting up to 60% LESS juice but with the Nama, they built this juicing machine the very best way possible. With that extra 60% juice, you’ll be buying less food, getting more juice yield, and saving extra money. Plus, you’ll be able to enjoy all the benefits of juicing!

Nama Juicers Save Money (savings over time)

Imagine using a cheaper juicer, like a Breville.

You head to the grocery store, excited about making some green juice or another recipe you’ve read about online.

You spend ~$15 buying: 3 heads of celery, 3 bunches of kale, 3 pounds of apples, some ginger, 1 lemon, and 1 cucumber.

Rushing home, you wash everything, pull out your Breville juicer, and start juicing. The juicer makes 16 ounces of juice.

You remember, “hey, I read somewhere that there’s a juicer that gives me 60% more juice. What was the name of that? Oh yeah, the Nama J2.

Whipping out your calculator, you realize 60% means an extra 9.6 oz of juice.

If you spent $15 only getting 16 oz and realized that with the Nama J2 you get even more juice for your money, spending a little more initially on the Nama J2 juicer makes more financial sense (or should I say, cents?) in the long run.

Let’s go a little deeper really quick…

With the Breville, you’re spending $0.93 per oz of juice, yielding only 16 oz. With the Nama, it’s only $0.58 and you’re getting 9.6 oz more. It’s almost twice as expensive to use the Breville, even though the Breville is cheaper upfront.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

Although Nama does cost a bit more initially, the quality in both the juice and savings is extremely more valuable. Your wallet will thank you!

And with that, you can save 10% on the Nama J2 using the coupon code: JOHNSONS

Less Waste (dry pulp)

When we say the Nama Vitality 5800 and J2 juicers provide “dry pulp,” know that you’re getting the most juice out of your food. Dry pulp means the juicer is high-quality and more juice is getting into your cup, not being wasted.

Pure Press Technology (minimizes oxidation)

Oxidation? What’s that? In short, it means your food is going bad.

You know when you cut an apple in half and it starts turning brown? That’s oxidation.

When you use a high-speed, centrifugal juicer, the fruit/vegetable is getting chopped up at high rates, causing it to go bad faster.

Using a cold-press juicer allows your foods to stay good longer because it’s not being thrown into a shredder but rather getting the juice slowly removed from the fibers of the fruit.

Strainers Included

The Nama Vitality 5800 and Nama J2 come with different strainers.

The 5800 comes with the following strainers: Juice/Smoothie/Sorbet.

The J2 comes with: Juice/Smoothie.

Currently, Nama is working on a nut milk strainer for the J2 but know that you can still make nut milks in the new juicer without a nut strainer! You can also make delicious smoothies, like this one using our green smoothie recipe.

Makes Plant Based Milks

Nowadays, you can buy almost every type of nut milk at the grocery store. There’s… oat, coconut, almond, soy, cashew, almond/coconut hybrid, and so many more!

The problem with these nut milks is that in order to stay good longer and be thick and creamy like most of us like, they contain ingredients like: locust bean gum and gellan gum. Both of these gums act as a thickener and have unfortunately been linked to gas, diarrhea, bloating, and cramps.

When you make your own nut milks at home, you are in control of the ingredients. You don’t need these additives. You can also sweeten up your milks with alternatives like medjool dates or maple syrup, two healthier options to cane sugar.

Hands – Free Juicing

You know the commercial, “just set it and forget it”? This juicer does exactly that. You put all the ingredients in at once, turn it on, and get back to your life while the machine does all the heavy-lifting. This is one of the only features its predecessor, the Nama Vitality 5800, doesn’t have and it makes all the difference!

Whole Recipe Loading

Stop wasting time. That’s the idea behind this juicer. Nama wants you to spend more time with your family and less time prepping, cutting, and organizing.

With the Nama J2, you can load an entire juice, smoothie, or nut milk recipe at once, instead of placing each item in, one-by-one. It’s a real time saver!

Safe for Children

Every Nama juicer is designed with children in mind. We spoke with the juicer’s designers, Eric & Tom (brothers, coincidentally), and Eric mentioned that his kids LOVE helping out with juicing in the morning.

Nama proves the misconception wrong that these types of machines are dangerous for kids. These juicers are really, really great for kids to use (with parental supervision) and it teaches them how to make fresh, healthy food from a young age.

Quiet Operation

We’ve tested this out and must say, this juicer is SUPER quiet. If you’re a morning person like we are, or have roommates, thin walls with cranky neighbors, live at home with your parents, have a partner that likes sleeping in, or any other scenario where you’d have to be quiet in the morning, Nama is the brand of juicer for you.

While I’m in meetings during the day, my wife can turn this juicer on 4 feet from me, and no one on the call ever notices the sound. It’s really quiet and it’s something only cold-press juicers can do.

Nama Juicer Payment Plan

Because the Nama juicers are an “investment for your health,” they’ve provided a simple way to get this juicer in your hands with very little money down.

You can get this J2 juicer for around $138 today. Plus, with our special coupon code offer, you can save 10% on this juicer using the code JOHNSONS during checkout.

Here’s their website for your convenience: https://namawell.com

p.s. Did we mention they offer free shipping??

Nama Warranty Guarantee*

Both juicers come with an extended warranty. The Vitality 5800 has a 10-year, while the J2 comes with a whopping 15-year.

Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer product comes with a 15-year warranty on the motor and 2-year warranty on all parts from the date of purchase when utilized for normal and intended household use. More on their warranty here.

Better for Bulk Juicing

If you enjoy making juice every Sunday afternoon so you can drink it throughout the week, this Nama J2 is for you. You can make juices, smoothies, nut milks in bulk, store them in air-tight containers, and they should last up to a week (or so).

Multi-tasking! The Nama Juicer Requires Less Produce Prep

With the original Nama Vitality 5800 juicer, you were tasked with chopping each fruit/vegetable into small pieces to fit into the chute. This type of juicer is a great option for people with children because it enables kids the ability to help out their parents in the morning/afternoon juice.

With the new Nama J2, you don’t need to cut your food into small pieces ever again! You can fit whole apples, yes, WHOLE apples into the container!

Juicer Base Color Options

The J2 juicer currently comes in two colors: black and white. We have the black juicer and while we absolutely love it, we have heard the white looks even cleaner on your counter top.

Plus, the white doesn’t stain!!! That’s right! We talked with Eric, one of the juicer designers, and he said they tested wiping beets and turmeric onto the base and neither of them left a stain!

Comes With Nama Recipe Booklet

This fabulous juicer also comes with an in-depth recipe booklet containing over 57 pages worth of content! It even includes the famous “Mean Green” juice from Joe Cross in Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.
